AngelicRO was first founded on May 31st, 2003.
aRO was originally a place for Sara's guild Angelring Guard to go when iRO went pay-to-play.
It soon became a serious server, and Sara began to enjoy providing her players with quick updates.
As time went along, she joined the eAthena team and grew better at developing.
Today, she is able to release updates the same day or earlier compared to kRO and fix bugs promptly.
These days, aRO consists of two main gameplay servers, Lilim and Gabriel.
Lilim is a mid-rate server while Gabriel is a low-rate server.
There are event nights every Friday on both servers.
Our Emperium Wars are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
We also try to add fair custom content to the game that more experienced RO players will enjoy.
For an example of this, see the World section.
You can play right away by downloading our client and registering. We hope to see you soon!
The thing we want most is for our community to blossom into something beautiful.

The following constitutes a brief listing of actions than can be considered criminal by the GM team. These articles are to be considered a guide to playing
a rule-abiding character in this environment, and are provided to the community with the intention of improving gameplay.
All articles can be interpreted as best judged by GMs on a case by case basis, following a desire to be just and taking into considerations all relevant views put
forth by involved players before taking final judgement.
Reports concerning breaking of any of these articles are welcome and accepted. However, there should be considerable evidence accompanying these reports so that
the case can be proved by merely looking at the facts. Please use caution and common sense; reports are not to be used as a form of revenge or blackmail. Investigate
before jumping to a conclusion, and you'll be considerably aiding the community remain fair for all.
Punishment for committing any of the offenses mentioned below will be determined by the GM at hand, be it jail or a ban. Please respect a GMs decision,
and apply for an appeal if you disagree. However, acting rudely and in an offensive manner due to a conviction won't aid your case in any given situation.
Questions, comments and suggestions are most welcome so as to improve the quality of this guide.
Situations which involve extreme annoyance and consistent torment should fall under this article.
It should be evident that the offender has as a main goal only to irritate and otherwise hinder the playing experience, with no apparent cause that would urge the offender to do so.
By no means is harrasment to be considered solely verbal.
Guiding monsters to attack another player or healing a monster that another player is attacking can and will fall under this category.
Also; racist remarks, skill spamming toward someone when told to stop, namecalling, etc. are all other forms of harrassment.
Plainly stated, "If you are causing harm or discomfort to anyone for any reason, it may qualify as harrassment."
Taking items from the ground that belong to another player constitutes stealing loot, and for the most part should be self-evident;
If there's any doubt as to the ownership of loot, ask your fellow player before taking action.
Monster ownership is established whenever a player attacks a monster or a group of monsters.
So far as he or she is fighting, the monsters can be attributed to them.
In turn, fighting should be considered as any engagement between a player and a monster or group of monsters, the importance of this being that magic attacks fall under this category.
Boss monsters, also known as MVPs, are considered free for all and thus are exempt from stealing.
Please note that the act of fighting and engaging in battle is crucial: gathering a group of monsters or being attacked by monsters while not retaliating does not assign ownership to a monster.
Ownership is lost either once the monster is dead, the owner leaves the range of the monster (this includes hiding, unless actively attacking such as with Grimtooth or Raid), or the owner stops attacking the monster with no visible explanation.
Since the trade window only allows a certain amount of items to be traded with at once, some people may choose to "drop" their items onto the ground in a trading manner.
Note that unauthorized taking of said items by a third party is also considered stealing.
Account theft is also filed under this rule and is perhaps the greatest violation of it.
Stealing and/or usage of another player's account is strictly prohibited.
A bot is described as any sort of device that permits a player character to battle monsters without the need for input from a user.
There will be absolutely no tolerance for their use under all circumstances.
The message is clear: do not use them.
Cursing should be held to a minimum during all times when in public chat.
The general level of "PG" should be accounted for as it is impossible for us to truely know the ages of those present.
Attempting to dodge this rule by any means, including asterisk use and other manipulation of the word are prohibited.
Note, party and guild chats are NOT filed under this rule.
It is the party and/or guild leader's decision on such matters.
All accounts are provided for the use of one distinct person;
They are not to be shared with or dealt to any other person.
If multiple accounts are provided for a single person, only one of these is permitted to be in use at any one time.
Furthermore, the act of more than one client being in use at any time by a single person is also a severe offense.
Advertisement of another private server through any of our chat channels is strictly prohibited.
Discussion of the creation of a new private server is filed under this rule.
Note that merely mentioning pre-existing servers is acceptable;
Tips and/or URL's to other servers is not.
Advertisement of sites and communities outside of the game are not acceptable.
Advertisement of parties, guilds, items, requests for items, etc are okay.
Any attempt to lie and/or scam another player is considered a very grave offense.
Specifically, when people lie to others about items or other such things to make a deal, a sale, or just plain purposely mislead them and when someone directs someone else to sites that are said to be one thing but are, infact, something malicious.
Bugs or otherwise unintended situations which can put a player at an advantage over others should in no way be used or exploited.
Instead opt to report it to a GM so that the bug can be labeled and fixed.
This rule includes such acts as attempting to take a GM's name for one's own, creating a misleading name such as "GM Bob" or "Admin Bob," and/or misleading players into believing they are a part of the GM staff.
This is considered a higher form of scamming, but the rule is seperate as to eliminate question.
Players have the right to speak their mind about any and all members of the GM Team as long as they speak within the bounds of truthfulness.
The spreading and/or creation of slander in an attempt to defame a GM is strictly prohibited.
Do not say, "such and such banned x for no reason" unless you know, without any doubt, that it is true.
In addition, the previous example was an accusation rather than an opinion;
Be careful.
Angelic RO is an English server and as such, public chat should consist entirely of the English language.
However, this is a fairly lax rule;
It is here to protect players from harassment involving other languages.
Note that this applies to public chat and party/guild chat are once again at the discretion of the appropriate leader.
The use of real money (as opposed to the Zeny found in game) involving debts and/or trades for services or items in game is strictly prohibited.
Any player involved with the helping of or assisting of another player who violates any of these rules will be held just as accountable as the original offender.
If someone learns a banned player is playing on the server without being unbanned, they are also to report it immediately.
In addition, pleading ignorance to any or all of the rules stated above will not save your skin in the event of being caught.
If you consider that your case has been wrongly judged, it is possible to file an appeal.
However, sufficient evidence or otherwise reasoning should be provided in order to warrant a retrial;
It is asked to use judgement when applying for an appeal.
Upon approval, both the prosecutor and the defender will be called forth to represent their views on the case once again.
Each case is open for one appeal and one appeal only.
These do not apply to Halo server unless noted.
* Modify levels.
* Give items.
* Spawn monsters.
* Give money.
* Do mess-around variety things (disguise, brief sexchange, effects on request)
* Sexchange, namechange, guild leader change without very good reason (Applies to Halo)
* Transfer characters, money, items, or other assets to other accounts/characters (Applies to Halo)
* Make them GMs, of course (Applies to Halo)
* Ban people for them, though they can raise specific issues (Applies to Halo)
There is no punishment associated with asking a GM to do one of these things besides a "no" from the GM unless constant persistance leads to harrassment. These are simply the things we can't do for you.
The following constitutes a brief listing of actions than can be considered criminal by the GM team. These articles are to be considered a guide to playing

and apply for an appeal if you disagree. However, acting rudely and in an offensive manner due to a conviction won't aid your case in any given situation.
Note that these rules apply to any section of the AngelicRO community, including but not limited to: Game servers, chat channels, forums, and other sites.
Questions, comments and suggestions are most welcome so as to improve the quality of this guide.
(Click the name of a rule below to view it in detail.)
Flaming is defined here as hostile and/or insulting interaction, speech, text, or posts. Flaming is generally an insult, whether veiled or blatant, toward a person or thing, and may not always be persistent, which is why the Harassment rule does not cover flaming.
If you don't have something nice to say, it may indeed be better not to say it at all.
Trolling is related to flaming in that it is usually hostile and/or insulting, but is often more subtle than flaming.
Trolling is an act that is instead generally meant to entice retaliation, such as flaming or dramatic replies.
In the event that someone is flaming or trolling, we encourage our members not to participate. Neither of these things are allowed on aRO, and will be dealt with as we see appropriate.
Situations which involve extreme annoyance and consistent torment should fall under this article.
It should be evident that the offender has as a main goal only to irritate and otherwise hinder the playing experience, with no apparent cause that would urge the offender to do so.
By no means is harassment to be considered solely verbal.
Guiding monsters to attack another player or healing a monster that another player is attacking can and will fall under this category.
Also; racist remarks, skill spamming toward someone when told to stop, namecalling, etc. are all other forms of harassment.
Plainly stated, "If you are causing harm or discomfort to anyone for any reason, it may qualify as harassment."
Players have the right to speak their mind about any and all members of AngelicRO as long as they speak within the bounds of truthfulness.
The spreading and/or creation of slander and/or rumors in an attempt to defame, upset, or otherwise harm anyone else is strictly prohibited.
Do not say such things as "Bob killed my monster because he's an idiot" or "GM Steve banned Jim for no reason" unless you know, without any doubt, that it is true, and are able to provide proof.
In addition, the previous examples were accusations rather than opinions;
Be careful.
Taking items from the ground that belong to another player constitutes stealing loot, and for the most part should be self-evident;
If there's any doubt as to the ownership of loot, ask your fellow player before taking action.

Ownership is lost either once the monster is dead, the owner leaves the range of the monster (this includes hiding, unless actively attacking such as with Grimtooth or Raid), or the owner stops attacking the monster with no visible explanation.
In the case of monsters created by Dead Branches or similar items/skills, the original user of the item/skill has ownership of the monster by default. They may retain ownership indefinitely as long as they have not given up fighting it for at least 5 minutes. If they are actively preparing to fight the monster, they have not given up and are still in ownership. This applies to all situations, including MVPs and leaving range.
Any attempt to lie to and/or mislead another player is considered a very grave offense.
This can refer to lying about items or their effects to take advantage of someone. It can also refer to similar lies about game functions or contents with malicious or deceptive intent. The situation of someone directing others to sites that are said to be one thing but are, in fact, something malicious is also covered by this rule.
If you make a deal with someone, all involved parties are expected to uphold their respective parts of the deal, or otherwise refund each other and mutually withdraw the deal.
Bugs or otherwise unintended situations which can put a player at an advantage over others must not be used or exploited in any way.
Instead opt to report it on our forum's bug tracker. However, if it is a severe and/or dangerous issue, you should report it directly to a GM. If you are unsure about the nature of something, and believe it may be a bug, you may ask a GM about it.
Suicide bombing is defined as fighting a monster, usually an MVP boss or miniboss, with intent to repeatedly die and return to fight it further, generally to kill something far above your level.
This implies that no active effort to stay alive is being made, so dying repeatedly is fine if you or your group do not INTEND to repeatedly die.
This is one of the least severe offenses, and if you break it, we will simply stop you, heal the monster, and warn you not to continue. Only if you are caught doing such a thing continually will the punishment be more severe.
Please note that monsters created by Dead Branches, Bloody Branches, or similar items/skills are exempt from this rule.
A bot is described as any sort of device that permits a player character to battle monsters without use of the RO client, or otherwise, without active interaction by the user.
There will be absolutely no tolerance for their use under any circumstances.
The message is clear: do not use them.
Homunculus and Mercenary AIs are exempt from this rule.
Also, hacking of any kind is not to be tolerated, whether it is hacking the server or another person. It is one of the most severe possible offenses. Attempting to hack but failing is also included in this rule.
As for client editing, you are not allowed to edit any of the client's files or modify the client in any way except BGMs, Skins, Emblems, or other files and folders that are originally intended for player modification. You may not open or modify the client data files, the client executables, or any supporting DLLs.
All accounts are provided for the use of one distinct person;
They are not to be shared with, dealt, or otherwise given to any other person.
If multiple accounts are provided for a single person, only one of these is permitted to be in use at any one time.
It is also a severe offense for a single person to be logged into any one server more than once at a time.
Note that it is all right to be logged into two different servers at the same time, as long as you are only logged into each server once at a time.
It is also fine to autovend on one account while playing on another, as the autovending account is technically no longer logged in.
Cursing should be held to a minimum during all times in anything publically viewable.
The general level of "PG" (not "PG-13") should be accounted for as it is impossible for us to truly know the ages of those present.
Attempting to dodge this rule by any means, including partially replacing words with asterisks or otherwise modifying and/or manipulating the words, is prohibited.
Many forms of cursing are censored in public chat. However, do not assume that you should use these words frequently simply because they are censored.
Additionally, you should withhold mention of inappropriate actions or body parts, as well as particularly violent language.
It is also worth mentioning that simply because a word is not censored does not mean it is allowed.
When in doubt, consult a GM in private.
Note that private chats, parties, guilds, etc. are NOT filed under this rule.
In these cases, it is left at the discretion of the owners/leaders of these things.
Angelic RO is an English server and as such, public chat should consist entirely of the English language.
However, this is a fairly lax rule;
It is here to protect players from harassment involving other languages.
Note that this applies to anything viewable by the general public. Private chats, parties, guilds, etc. are at the discretion of their owners/leaders.
Advertisement of sites and communities outside of the game is not acceptable.
You may post on the forums or tell your friends about games that interest you personally, or similar things, provided they do not violate the Other Server Advertisement rule.
Advertisement of parties, guilds, items, requests for items, etc are okay.
However, please use moderation in these things.
Advertisement of another private server in any form is strictly prohibited.
Discussion of the creation of a new private server is also covered by this rule.
Mentioning the name of a pre-existing server is not allowed, unless the server no longer exists.
Tips and/or URLs to other servers are also not allowed.
You may mention other private servers in passing if no names or tips are given in any way, preventing others from knowing which other server you refer to.
The use of real money, property, and/or services (as opposed to things existing within the game) related to debts and/or trades for services, items, and/or currency in the game is strictly prohibited.
Note that commissioning another person to create artwork or similar objects for you and paying using currency, services, and/or items within the game is an exception, and is allowed. However, please use sense in such deals and remember that upholding it is a must.
This rule includes such acts as attempting to take a GM's name for one's own, creating a misleading name such as "GM Bob" or "Admin Bob," and/or misleading players into believing they are a part of the GM staff.
This is considered a higher form of scamming, but the rule is separate as to eliminate question.

Thanks for choosing aRO.
We've made everything as easy to download and use as possible.
Besides the client, we've put some other stuff here for your convenience, too.
[ Click Here to Download ] (1.77 GB)
This is most likely what you're here for.
Once you've downloaded the client, open up Angelic.exe to patch and play.
You'll need to register before you can log in, of course.

An alternate client for people who already have kRO Sakray and don't wish to download our full client.
Requires a kRO Sakray client, and ONLY exists for people who already have it.
This version of aRO requires kRO Sakray updates, and thus doesn't include kRO's patches.
For this reason, it doesn't have the benefit of getting patches earlier than kRO.

Updated October 16th, 2008.
If you enjoy playing in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, this may come in handy.
It lets you move the mouse out of the aRO window freely.
This allows you to multitask and do other things while you're still killing that tough monster.
It also has functions for reducing CPU usage and disabling certain keys.

Added skill delay indicator based on kRO's. Added buff lasting time indicator based on kRO's. These may have slight visual bugs. If you notice anything particularly weird, please report it.
Made some small fixes to skill resets. Made a tiny adjustment to !mobinfo's text.
After some time, we've come up with a revised set of rules.
The new rules have been posted in the same places as the current rules. That is, on the site, in the patcher, and in the game.
They will go into effect in one week on Jan 28th, 2009. Until then, the current rules will still apply.
Thanks for your cooperation. Mew.

I will be taking a break from aRO work for a few days. When I am back, business will resume as usual.
3rd Jobs have been released.
They are not fully working. Arc Bishop is half-working at this point, though.
Anyway, we will allow people to change at any time. You can prepare for your new job without having to wait. The 3rd Job Changer can be found in Prontera Square.
Lowered the price of resets significantly. As a result, the Reset Package benefit is discontinued. Existing Reset Packages are replaced with Teleport ones.
I've added Moogle to the GM Team to make up for GM absence. She's not a temporary GM, so be sure to congratulate her.
Fixed an issue where pet status was shown incorrectly. Reformed the skill info packets to protect against bugs. Fixed the chat filter to work properly with !main. Updated the chat filter to add a few more words.
The boat system has returned to how it was previously. This means access to many towns from an NPC at each port. However, the boats now have more destinations than before. The prices may change in the future, however!
Additionally, I've made a couple more noteworthy changes.
First, the Rachel Sanctuary donation requirement is lower. It now takes 1,000 donations to open instead of 10,000.
Second, I've added a new command related to vending. You can now use !whovend to see online vendors. Even autovendors are shown in the list! If you use normal !who, it will mention online vendors too.
The site updates section is now integrated with the forums. You can see the updates section of the forums here. I also suggest looking at this update.
Fixed another issue with the Knight Quest. Fixed autovendors showing as online in some of the in-game lists.
A new function has been added to Kafra teleporting. It is called Express Teleporting.
With it, you can warp anywhere in the main Kafra network. It costs as much as warping one town at a time would. Effectively, this is a fair town warper with efficient usage.
Warps have also been restored for Schwarzvald.
Fixed a crash bug related to certain status changes. Fixed a couple of warp issues in Juno and Louyang. Fixed the Knight Quest.
Fixed Einbroch emergencies. (Most likely, at least.) Fixed and updated the Weather System. Fixed and updated the Night System. Slightly modified the Current Settings shown during login. Did some minor efficiency work on the login and char servers.
Pets at "Intimate" will now give stat boosts and/or resistances. Every pet type has a different bonus, as per the official update.
Additionally, I've made more bank fixes. An issue preventing withdrawals has been fixed. Bank deposits and withdrawals are now fully logged. This means that if you lose money, I can actually find it and give it back.
The Stylist in Prontera looks different now. Sizz and Maria in the Training Center now have their proper sprites.
The bank should be effectively fixed now. Even if not, refunds can be given better now. Metaphysical dungeons now display the locations of their warps.
The Ticket Exchanger will now give the proper pet eggs. Rachel Donation ticket exchange will now give lottery items. Please note... If abused or overused, this will be changed to effect Event Tickets only.
For Halloween, most monsters will drop Halloween Candy. The ones that won't are Porings, Hedgehogs, and Ant Eggs. This candy will remain for a few days.
You can have your Halloween Candy checked near the end of the night. The top three collectors will get prizes!
Along with this, there will be other events held through the day. Players also get random disguises throughout the day.
The Event Ticket Exchange NPCs are getting some new stuff! For more information, see the forum topic here.
Update: Okay! Everything's set up. The current version of the exchange list is in the topic. More consumables will be added to the exchange list soon.
Fixed an issue where other people's training weapons did not show up. Redesigned ranking pages for easier use.
Right now, to register for an account on AngelicRO, you must simply fill out a form.
However, we'd appreciate it if you would read our account rules first.
You must create your account personally, no one may do it for you.
No dual clienting. Also, no account sharing.
Each account is for the person that created it, ONLY.
You may have multiple accounts, but you can only use one at a time.
You also may not give away accounts under any circumstances.
If you want a second or third account, there are a couple regulations for those too.
All extras must have the same name as the original account, but with a 2, 3, etc at the end.
In the year 481 Celestial Era, all was peaceful... At least, so we thought.
The land was in a time of uncertainty, and tensions were high.
Then, a new continent was discovered... The continent of Valencia.
People never seen before, people we weren't sure we could trust...
At that time, Valencia was on the very verge of war...
"Uncle, I've come as requested."
"Sorry, I have something I need you to do."
"You've always treated me like a son. I'd gladly do anything for you."
"What I'm about to say is top secret... No one can know about this."
"Uncle... I swear in the name of my family, no one will ever know."
"Our sources in the Empire report that the Temple of Gana in Constellarium was attacked."
"Temple of Gana... The Imperial Royal Family's temple!?"
"That doesn't matter right now. Gana was the seal of the Dallants."
"Dallants? I've only heard that word in legend before."
"They seem like they could be powerful magic weapons of some kind."
"Then... If the Republic were to obtain these, it would be to our advantage."
"Our advantage? What do you mean?"
"We could use it to destroy the Empire!"
"Hahahah... Anyway, you're the only one I can trust. Elluard, will you help me find the Dallants?"
"If it's for you, uncle, then I'll do it."
The world of AngelicRO consists of two continents, Rune and Valencia.
Rune contains three countries, Rune-Midgard, Schwarzvald, and the Arunafeltz.
Valencia consists of three countries, Ashiriah, R.O.S.C, and South Valencia.
This world is ruled over by more than just the Norse deities of olde...
